Diversionary Tactic - The SandPaper

To the Editor:

So exactly what was the purpose of the letter writer last week criticizing a former president who has now been out of office for nearly nine months (“No Leader”)? Oh wait, I get it now. It’s the old military tactic of getting people to divert their attention away from the current president, Joe Biden, who has turned into one of the worst presidents in modern American history (apologies to Jimmy Carter!).

Or is it because of an old, tired man who lies to us, can’t read a teleprompter, and runs away from the podium immediately after talking to the American public?

Or is it because he has completely ruined the Afghanistan withdrawal, which 74% of Americans said he screwed up terribly, caused the deaths of 13 young American military personnel, lied constantly about getting every American out, and tricked our loyal world allies?

Or is it that these trillion-dollar bills he, Pelosi and Schumer concoct have raised inflation rates to 5.4% – the highest rate in over two decades, now costing me $50 for gas when I fill my SUV?

And finally, is it because a year ago he questioned the former president’s rollout of the vaccine and just days ago berated unvaccinated Americans?

In sum, those of you who voted last November to get rid of the former president, due to his personality and not his policies, got your wish. America now has very serious security issues.
