The Dallas Mavericks could be in trouble heading into Game 4 of their first round series vs. the Los Angeles Clippers. Luka Doncic (ankle) is being listed as questionable and may be held out. If that is the case, the Clippers are looking good to go up 3-1 in the best-of-7 series. Let’s take a look at some DraftKings Showdown picks for the contest, which starts at 3:30 p.m. ET on Sunday.

Captain’s Pick
Kawhi Leonard ($15,600)
Paul George did the whole Instagram thing after Game 2 and said he wouldn’t be bad in Game 3. He was bad in Game 3. Kawhi Leonard was not. Kawhi scored 36 points and came close to a triple-double to carry the Clips to a much-needed win. Part of me thinks we were off by a game with PG-13. Part of me also thinks Leonard is the best basketball player in the world. If Doncic is out, this game won’t even be close. I’d also recommend Seth Curry ($9,600) as a decent Captain if Doncic is out.
Fade of the Game
Lou Williams ($8,000)
Lou Will was another guy I liked in Game 3 and he busted. So chances are he’ll drop 30+ in this spot. The minutes just aren’t there and with Patrick Beverley sidelined, the Clippers can’t use Williams since he’s a liability on defense. This has led to more Landry Shamet late in games for L.A. Williams can fill it up when he’s playing 30+ minutes. The shots just aren’t there with Kawhi and George taking up most of the offense.
Value Picks
Montrezl Harrell ($4,400) — The Clippers haven’t unleashed Harrell yet but it’s only a matter of time, right? If Doncic is sidelined or limited, the Clippers could run away with this one. That may be the perfect time to get Harrell some good minutes. His price is also down $1,200 from Game 3. So even if he only plays around 20 minutes, that should be enough to hit value.
Landry Shamet ($3,000) — Like I alluded to up there, Shamet is the only guard who can play some defense with Pat Bev out. So if Shamet is going to get into the lineup more and come close to 30 minutes, at this price he’s a must-play. Beverley could return in Game 4, which would make this pick a bit less appealing. Monitor the news and make adjustments accordingly.
