NBA DFS Picks: Celtics vs. Raptors Game 1 DraftKings Showdown strategy, lineup advice - DraftKings Nation

ersamoyor.blogspot.com

After a bit of a wait, the second round of the NBA Playoffs will begin on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. ET with the Boston Celtics taking on the Toronto Raptors in Game 1. Both teams made swift work of their first-round opponents, completing sweeps last week. Once a question mark, Kyle Lowry was upgraded to probable for Game 1 after injuring his ankle in Game 4 against the Brooklyn Nets. Let’s take a look at some DraftKings Showdown picks to get your lineup started.

Set your DraftKings lineup here.

Captain’s Pick

Kemba walker ($12,600)

Walker had a really strong finish to the first round against the Sixers, scoring a combined 97 fantasy points. I think Kemba will carry some of that momentum into the second round against the Raptors. This series should be really tight, so scoring will come at a premium. If that’s the case, I’d be looking to get the player with the highest ceiling comparative to his price at Captain. Walker is only the fifth-most expensive Captain in the contest. He may be trendy but gives us more lineup flexibility.

Fade of the Game

Norman Powell ($6,200)

Powell had an up and down first round. It was split between performances — a couple of solid outings and a pair of duds. I think the pricing on him is a bit too high. We know that Kyle Lowry (ankle) should be fine and start. I can’t imagine Nick Nurse messes with his rotation much and Powell has been left out on occasions. It would make more sense to overwhelm Boston with size rather than running 3-guard setups. So we should see more OG Anunoby and Serge Ibaka. Maybe if Powell was down around $5K, we wouldn’t look to fade him.

Value Picks

OG Anunoby ($5,600) — I’d rather pay down a bit for OG than up for Powell. Anunoby doesn’t have much of a ceiling but is consistent and we know he’s going to see minutes. There won’t be much value in this series. I expect both coaches to run very tight rotations and give the starters the majority of the minutes.

Marc Gasol ($4,600) — Among the five or so values, Gasol stands out as a mismatch for the Celtics. He’s experienced and should be able to take advantage of some of Boston’s smaller lineups. The scoring wasn’t there against Brooklyn, but Gasol still finished strong with 11 assists in the final two games of the first round.
