SpaceLink adds new execs to further push info superhighway strategy
SpaceLink has hired two additional executives to its leadership team as the company continues its broad effort to build a satellite relay system it sees as becoming a information superhighway in space.
McLean, Virginia-headquartered SpaceLink said Tuesday that Robert Conrad has joined the company as vice president of NASA and civil space development, while Phil Robertson was named vice president and chief security officer.
They will help chart the company’s push in designing its network to pick up where tracking and data relay satellite connectivity ends and link users to high-capacity communications between low Earth orbit and the ground.
Conrad was most recently president and CEO of aerospace and government services provider LJT & Associates for 17 years, while Robinson is a retired Army Special Forces veteran.
SpaceLink is a subsidiary of Electro Optic Systems Holdings, a publicly-traded defense and space company headquartered in Australia.
