The latest Teamfight Tactics set, Galaxies, has officially released and is ready for players to explore. Introducing an entirely new rotation of champions and abilities to mess around with, the updated auto battler is a much-needed distraction in difficult times. The game mode also just launched on mobile devices as well, allowing users to grind LP in ranked and play on the hexagonal board while away from their computers.
The key to success in TFT is maxing out combinations so you don't get the most useful trait bonuses to synergize best with the items you received. An Archangel's Staff and an Aegis of the Legion could be great with four sorcerers and a few Star Guardians, while a team of straight Infiltrators or Mecha Pilots might be the preferred choice if you pull a Guardian Angel. The only way you can know what works best is through old-fashioned experimentation.
Here are some of the more powerful classes and origins in Teamfight Tactics to help get you started.
Teamfight Tactics Galaxies Team Compositions
- Vanguard- These tanky low-cost units can be a powerful backbone of your composition in the early game. Star Guardian Poppy and Dark Star Mordekaiser can soak up insane amounts of damage if you manage to combine them with two other Vanguards. I've been enjoying trying to max out my Jayce, combing him with Darius to get a Space Pirate bonus and a ton of damage. If you can't three-star these units they tend to suffer in the mid to late game, but that's just when you transition out.
- Snipers- If you have a beefy front line, Snipers are the most powerful long-range class in Teamfight Tactics. Using Ashe, Caitlyn or Jhin with their trait gives them an extra major-damage punch. Shred through enemies with a Sniper and a Red Buff or Sword Breaker and watch the LP roll in.
- Chrono- One of the most consistently powerful classes is Chrono, which gives attack speed to your entire team composition every few seconds. Ezreal, Shen and Blitzcrank are some of the best units, especially when they turn into machine guns on the field. Rushing four with Caitlyn and Ashe can help you crush in the mid game.
- Legendaries- Added in this set are the powerful Legendaries that can become win conditions on their own. Starship Aurelion Sol drops bombs throughout the map over time, allowing you to deal with enemies who would normally be safe. Ekko attacks every character on screen, chunking out the whole board when his mana is full. Miss Fortune has an AoE so dirty it might need to be nerfed. Getting a proper Legendary with a composition that can back it up is crucial to winning your match.
