The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief JP Nadda on Sunday lashed out at MK Stalin's son and Tamil Nadu minister Udhayanidhi Stalin over his recent remarks on "Sanatana dharma", questioning whether it was a party of INDIA bloc's poll strategy?
Alleging that "Sanatan dharma" is against equality and social justice, Tamil Nadu Youth Welfare Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin recently said it should be eradicated.

Dubbing the INDIA alliance as "ghamandiya gathbandhan" (arrogant coalition), JP Nadda slammed the Opposition bloc and said, "Udhayanidhi Stalin made this remark when, three days ago, they (INDIA alliance members) had met in Mumbai to draw a strategy. Is this their political strategy to abolish 'Sanatan dharma?"
The opposition bloc INDIA held its third meeting in Mumbai, which was attended by several opposition leaders including Rahul Gandhi, NCP chief Sharad Pawar, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thakeray, RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and others.
JP Nadda also questioned Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over the comments made by Udhayanidhi Stalin on Sanatan dharma. "I want to ask Rahul Gandhi, you ran the shop of love, but where are the goods of hate for sanatana being sold in the shop?" Nadda asked.
MK Stalin-led Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) is one of the alliance partners of the INDIA bloc formed by several opposition parties to take on the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
UDHAYNIDHI STALIN'S REMARKS
Udhayanidhi Stalin on Saturday sparked a political controversy after he compared "Sanatana dharma" with 'dengue', 'malaria' and Coronavirus, asserting that it should not just be opposed, but 'eradicated'.
Speaking at the 'Sanatana Abolition Conference', Udhayanidhi Stalin said that "Sanatana dharma" is against social justice and equality.
"Few things cannot be opposed, that should be abolished only. We can't oppose dengue, mosquitoes, malaria or corona. We have to eradicate this. That's how we have to eradicate Sanatan," he had said at the conference.
