Talk about the bargain of the century! That might be fourth-year head coach Jeff Traylor, who, if he wished, could probably be one of the hottest commodities on the coaching carousel this winter after leading UTSA to back-to-back Conference USA titles and helping the Roadrunners hit their move into the higher-rent district of the AAC at absolute top speed. Traylor, however, seems to know a good thing when he sees it, and apparently has no desire to leave San Antonio. He's taken himself off the market and secured a long-term deal in the Alamo City instead. The contract, signed late in 2021 for roughly $2.5 million annually, runs for ten years. That's just fine with Traylor, who has spent all but two years (which were at nearby Arkansas) in a now 34-year coaching career in the Lone Star state. What's wrong with staying where you're happy?
