Final Fantasy Tactics Remaster Leak Supported By Official Survey - Screen Rant

The long-awaited return of Final Fantasy Tactics might be at hand, as a new Square Enix survey may confirm the existence of a Final Fantasy Tactics remaster, which was mentioned in the now infamous Nvidia GeForce Now games leak. Final Fantasy Tactics is widely regarded as one of the strongest entries in the franchise, but it has yet to be remastered on modern systems as was done for other Final Fantasy games which appeared on the original PlayStation.

Earlier this year, a datamine of the Nvidia GeForce Now servers revealed a list of games that hadn't been announced yet, with one title being listed as "Final Fantasy Tactics Remaster." On the Final Fantasy Tactics subreddit, user DrNanard claims to have found proof that a remaster could exist, sharing a screenshot of an Eidos-Montreal survey asking participants about Final Final Tactics. This information was later shared to Reddit's r/GamingLeaksAndRumors subreddit by the bananaflipside (via Nibellion). Also mentioned in the survey were FF Tactics its spin-offs and the Ogre Battle series, which it's closely connected to.

It's still unclear how credible the Nvidia GeForce Now games leak is, but it did reference Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - Definitive Edition well ahead of its official announcement. When the much older Collection of SaGa - Final Fantasy Legend titles from the Game Boy are available on multiple platforms, it's a wonder why a celebrated game like Final Fantasy Tactics has yet to be remastered for modern console and PC hardware. If the leak and the surveys are correct, then the time to return to Ivalice may be approaching. It's possible that it might even be appear at Sony's upcoming October 27 PlayStation State of Play, considering how Square Enix has supported past Sony events with Final Fantasy news.
